Inner Beauty 
 
This flute was inspired by the parts of ourselves that are yet to be discovered. There is so much within us that we do not yet know. Hidden beneath the layers of who we believe ourselves to be are qualities, strengths, dreams, treasures, feelings and possibilities that may have never had the opportunity to reveal themselves. Sometimes we spend years believing we know who we are, only to find ourselves standing at a moment in life that opens a door into something completely unexpected. A challenge may reveal a strength we never knew we possessed. A moment of vulnerability may uncover a depth of feeling we had kept hidden. A new connection may awaken a part of us that had been quietly waiting to be seen. And sometimes, simply following our intuition can lead us into places within ourselves that we never knew existed. Inner discovery isn't always about becoming someone new. Perhaps it is more about remembering something that has always been there. Like the layers of a forest floor, there are parts of ourselves hidden beneath the surface. Some are waiting patiently. Some emerge when the conditions are right. Others may only reveal themselves when life takes an unexpected turn. The intention of this flute is to help that inner exploration come to light. In honour of this journey I name this flute, 
Inner Beauty
 
She is in the key of F# tuned to 432Hz and is crafted from Black Bamboo. The inlay in the body of the flute is Pearl to help illuminate and grow the hidden beauty that shines within us all. The Bird  totem is handcrafted from aromatic Eastern Red Cedar lovingly foraged by my dad in Upstate New York. Her eyes are of Turquoise to help our inner beauty light the way before us and is secured to the flute using lace from North American White-tailed Deer. The feathers are Swan foraged by myself. This magnificent being is a symbol of transformation, grace and divinity. May the songs and prayers of this flutes shine brightly on a path of discovery.
