Wolf Shines Within

This flute was created as during the time of the November full moon. The skies were clear night after night and the portal of Samhain was open. Standing each night within the light of the moon and stars I felt the call of the Wolf so strongly. This incredible being of instinct, and intuition. Teaching us to trust the path we choose to walk. At this time of year when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is at its thinnest, it is important  to honour the wisdom our ancestors that is present within each of us. Sometimes this wisdom is hidden deep inside. Both the light of the moon and the Wolf can help us to bring hidden wisdom to light. As wolves come to sing together within the light of the moon we can honour our own personal  path we have chosen as well as the love that holds us in community. To be grateful for the journey we are on and to those with whom we share and trust. May this flute help those who play and hear her songs to connect with the ancient ancestral wisdom and to sing our own songs with clarity and brilliance to shine a light upon the journey ahead. In honour of this prayer I name this flute,
Wolf Shines Within.

She is in the key of F tuned to 432Hz. The Wolf totem is made from Eastern Red Aromatic Cedar foraged by my dad in Upstate New York. She has eyes/ of Turquoise to help gain clear insight of the path ahead. The inlay on the body of the flute is crushed Pearl to represent the radiant light of the the full moon. The feathers are of Tawny Owl and Barred Owl foraged by myself here and in North America. Owls are great messengers between the each of the realms. May the songs of this flute shine with love, honour and remembrance of the ancestors wisdom.
